Clint Allman. ' ice Pres. Bob Hermann, Pres. Alda Wagner, Sec. It Seem Like Only Yesterday . . . You were angry at the professor who graded you lower than your self-evaluation, and you said mean things about the chapel speaker who interfered with your lunch hour, and maybe you even mentioned, in a fit of anger, that you were sorry you ever saw West Virginia Wcslcyan. But when the sunny hours and the cloudy ones are placed on the balance a true price may hi estimated for your life at Wesleyan. Or can you set a price on it? Remember the homecoming festivities? When Sunday came you were tired but happy. You ' ll never forget that blind date. Your friend told you she was a nice girl. Oh well! I wonder who set off the alarm clock in assembly. Did you ever get a chance to have your raincoat cleaned? Many world problems were solved in those bull sessions, to say nothing of the jokes ( and I had better not). Those sure were inter- esting line-ups on the girl ' s dorm ' s porches when 10:45 called your Cinderella, Finally you were measured for your graduation outfit. You shook hands with the big boys and fondled your sheepskin. And as you took your farewell stroll down the shady triangular walk you wondered when you would be back. Senior Class Seniors Enjoy Sunny Hours on Wesfeyan ' s Campus The Senior class began the year with thoughts of graduation in mind. We en- tered an antique, horse-drawn hearse in the Homecoming parade which drew much in- terest and attention and received honorable mention from the judges. The Seniors par- ticipated in all of the Homecoming activi- ties and were active in all social functions throughout the year. In January, commencement was held for thirty-six Seniors with Dr. Paul F. Douglas, president of American University. Washington. D. C as guest speaker. In April we faced the taking of Graduate Record exams and Comprehensives with our brains full of knowledge. Also we ordered announcements and caps and gowns for the one hundred and four members of the class of May. 1950. The Seniors par- ticipated in May Day activities and a dinner was given for the Senior girls with the Junior girls as hostesses. Recognition Day was held in May with the honors brought to many of the members. Commencement activities started with the Baccalaureate Service Sunday. May 28. A reception for seniors, their families and the faculty was held that afternoon with President and Mrs. W. J. Scarborough as host and hostess. A concert by the Music Department was given on Sunday night. On Monday night, the Commencement Play was presented and on Tuesday, May 30. the one hundred and four members of the Senior Class received their degrees; some with reluctance, some with pleasure. We have many pleasant memories of sunny hours here at Wesleyan.
