The Mondcola respectfully dedicates its WVU 100th Anniversary edition to Oliver Perry Chitwood, educator and author. Dr. Chitwood, a member of the University community for 60 years, has distinguished himself in the classroom and in his writing. The first editor of the Colonial Echo yearbook at William and Mary, Dr. Chitwood is almost reaching his own Centennial as he is in his 93rd year. He honors our University and our yearbook by introducing the special historical section of this commemorative yearbook.
