i x N f' This year nearly all the pictures in the book were taken by student photographers. ln the darkroom Phil Ayre, jack Driscoll and jim Watkinson develop and print the pictures that appear in this Kimtah. jean Mack, staff stenographer frightl, is kept busy typing copy forthe printers. Ruth lmmel, Ruth Selset and Howard Hawkins all seem to be wanting her services here. Martha Kindall Editor 1939 KIMTAH To record the activities of the school yearg to show the progress made by students and faculty in educationg to catch the spirit of the school are the purposes of a yearbook. The 1939 Kim- tah staff has endeavored to do these thingsg but during their work of pub- lishing the annual an idea has been conceived by which these purposes could be carried out to the fullest extent. Next year West Seattle can have a magazine of 16 pages to be published monthly, which would allow the staff more time and thought to each club, sport or production. The magazine could give 48 more pages than the present annual, hence more pictures and copy. There would be no need, then, for stiff group pictures of no action. The magazine would be a com- plete record of a year at West Seattle. This idea is new and will require the help and support of the student body and faculty. In this field West Seattle will be a leader. Patty7Malmo Girls Sports y D I G G p 3 Xing? B b Sporilur lx' ' x, Bill Parkins it Assistant Editor
