Senior Class At the beginning of their first year as Fresh- men the members of the class, of course, afforded great amusement to the upper classmeng but as they began to understand and to enjoy high school and to enter into school activities, the upper class- men admired their spirit. Mrs. Sanders Was the class adviser, and the officers were Virgil Brough- ton, president, Henry Brandon, vice-president, Beth Wfatson, secretary, and Chester Duckwitz, treasurer. The Freshmen had made many friends their first year and were glad to come back the next tall as Sophomores. This year Miss Clark be- came adviser, and with her help and that of Henry Brandon, Beth Watson, Helen Beneker, and Virgil Broughton the Class of '30 began to enter more and more into school activities. Though individuals joined the different organiza- tions of the school, the class plays, f'The Little Fool and i'Not Quite Such a Goose, were the outstanding group accomplishments. By their Junior year the students had become an important part of school life. ln activities they showed a wide range of talent, musical, 'dra- matic, athletic, scholarly, and artistic. In the operetta, 'fThe Marriage of Nannetteu and the play, You and lf' many Juniors had leading roles. Don McClary and Del Muller made the first team in football, and Loring McManus played guard in first team basketball. 'The event of the Senior year was, of course, the Senior play. 'fThe Romantic Age, by A. A. Milne, a delightfully Whimsical play, was chosen by the committee, and the parts were beautifully acted. Members of the Class of '30 have been in every type of activity and will be missed next year. Wfe are eager to graduate, but we are sorry to leave Wfest Seattle and the friends we have made.
