Lombart DEDICATION To Mr. Lombart, our teacher, counselor, and firm friend we dedicate this yearbook. Since we first came to West High School, we have taken our problems to him, and he has dealt with them with both wisdom and kindliness. He has taken a personal interest in each of us, and has shown an understanding which we shall not soon forget. George Lombart attended Indiana University for a year after his.graduation from Benjamin Franklin High School. He then transferred to the University of Roch- ester from which he received an A.B. degree in 1951 and an M.A. in 1952. He began teaching at West High in September, 1952. 4 . MW' Awww

The leaping flames of the bonfire on a crisp autumn night, The surging high spirits of a football game on a blue and gold October afternoon, . The caroling choirs at Christmastime, The gay carnival ballyhoo on West High Day, The proud, solemn sight of the Memorial Day standing guard, The anxious anticipation during the hectic hours of Regents week, And finally, the majestic strains of Pomp and Circumstance.
