By practicing many hours each week, the maiorettes of West High have achieved deserved recognition. By compiling a season's record of tive wins, two ties, and only one lass, the soccer eleven qualified for the sectional championship games. The sectional game against Wayland ended as a scoreless tie after three overtimes. To decide this important game an alternate penalty kick method was used. West won, five to tour. ln the semi-finals, however, the soccer team was halted by Wayne Central.
