Boys and Girls of the Class of IQ57: For many years after my exchange visit. l planned to revisit West Reacling in Nlay. 1957, and to witness and participate in your graduation ceremonies. Un- lortunalely this plan has had to be dropped because of my forthcoming marriage and my new home now building. It is therefore a welcome opportunity to be able lo write lo you through the pages of your yearboolc. Let me begin by recalling one or two of the highlights ol my unforgettable year with you. l remember .... the lovely way in which you receivecl me and marie me feel at home. invilerl me to your homes ancl gave me many presents at Christmas. Our mutual difficulty in unclerstancling each other's languagesl Our Halloween party - I just coulcln't guess who the little China- man wasl Our games of circle cloclge-ball in the yarcl. ancl football tEnglish style, ancl baseball in the playgrouncl. Our Hmusic lessons around the piano i- they must have been funny. Ancl our Assembly presentations.
