Happiness that finally all the butterflies before a test and ulcers afterward have paid off You’ve received that piece of paper that says you're a high school grad. The hardest part of growing up is behind you. But the uncertainty of the future is ahead of you. You're free to do what you want although your security is gone, but it’s time you gave up that blanket. You look over the line of tasseled caps and long gowns noting what each one is planning to do after today. It’s over, you shake hands with friends that you've spent some very good times with. You try to choke back some tears, but it isn't easy Girls dabbing at tear dampened cheeks hoping to hide their tears. Some others not even caring to try. As you leave you know that you'll never see most of these people again, but cheer up. The day is warm, the sun is bright and besides, today is the first day of the rest of your life.
