Roger Reppert was an alternate for the scholarship. They were the only t o seniors from WPHS who took the tests. Cut of'. 438 Nebraska schools, 5080 students took the examination. This year there were 308 winners and 1553 alternates for the scholarship Cadets Win Herald Plataue i West Print Cadets won the VkrId-Herald plaque and first place in the final Class C ratings. Although the Cadets dropped their final game with Neliah, their seasons rec.rrd was strong enough to cop the honor, Wytr.cre, Oshkosh and Battle Creek pushed the Point ers for top honors for the closest finish in history.
