FIRST ROW: Carol Sellentin, Donna Thietje, Mar- dell Brockmann, Marlene Luebke, Dorothy Peatrow-sky, Evelyn Sellentin, Ruth Hensel, Sue Haeffelin, Mary Ann Lase, Margie Haase, Donna Disher, Joyce Stratton. SECOND ROW: Johanna Krebs, Fae Schulz-kump, Shirley Kindschuh, Wanda Rail, Beverly Wood-ka, Mava Sila, Marlene Woodka, Shirley Sila, Lola The G. A. A. girls and their sponsor Mrs. Anderson meet each Tuesday afternoon for an hour of recreation. In the spring and fall when the weather allows, the girls play softball and do calisthenics. During the winter volleyball and basketball are the main sports. Camin, Janice Camin, Joan Lausen, Alice McPherson. THIRD ROW: Shirley Meyer, Betty Bettenhausen, Gretchen Einemann, Bonnie White, Jean Hagedorn, Marlene Horak, Bonnie Kassebaum, Anna Mae Mina-rick, Gloria Pagels, Marelane Kappius, Carol Beck-enhauer, Mrs. Anderson. The highlight of the season is the basketball tournament that the girls hold between classes. The awards given to the girls deserving them at the end of the year are: First and Second Local and First and Second State Awards. Exercises are a part of the weekly hour enjoyed by the G.A.A. girls. Preparing the Homecoming float means work for everyone, including our sponsor, Mrs. Anderson.

F.F.A. was one of the many organizations who joined in the Homecoming spirit by entering a float. The junior class enjoyed the dancing of Roger Kasse-baum, representing an Oakland Viking. The clowns, Dick Seelmeyer and Roger Starr, added much fun and laughter to the Homecoming parade. Also adding to the festivities was the G.A.A. float. Making use of their Home Economics are the F.H.A. West Point has good aim on Oakland. girls with a recipe for a Victory cake.
