Barbara Ravenscroft, Alice McPherson, Anna Mae Minarick. Arlene Meier, Nancy Carmody, Betty Stewart, Raymond Kiihne, Lee Reppert. ROW III—Mr. Alberding, Reginald Will, Gerald Jahnke, Edward Sellentin. Mike Engel, Robert Kuester, Russel Sila, Clayton Lofgren, Frederick Crouter, Dayton Daberkow, Mr. Graham. The Freshmen have awakened and realized that the first year of their high school era is almost over. Being green Frosh didn’t sound like much fun this year; but when their graduation time rolls around, they’ll look back with happy memories on this year. The boys were quite enthusiastic to get out for football and basketball and the girls showed up the other classes in enrollment in G.A.A. They proudly claim pert majorette, Joyce Stratton, in the class. Quite an honor! Marilyn Senden. ROW III—Tom Juhl, Jean Druhe. Valetta Zahnow, Betty Diers, Betty Nielsen, Katherine Teebkin, Jeanette Petz. Orville Meyer. Frank Mejstrik, Gene Wegner. The “Saucy Sophomores” are one of the most ambitious and aggressive classes in school. Keith Gustafson, Mell Wostoupal, and Bob Hoesing. Douglas Manser is the Student Manager. They had four boys that played on the first team in football and three on the first team in basketball. In football they were Bob Hoesing, LeRoy Johnson, Mell Wostoupal, and Leland Dierson. In basketball were One of the four attendants to the Homecoming queen, November 11, was pretty little Marilyn French. Marilyn was also the queen at the Halloween party. The Freshmen were initiated for a whole day November 16 when they appeared in their comic strip costumes and made themselves slaves to the seniors. Before dismissal, short skits and modeling of their costumes on the gym stage was given and a vote was taken on the most original costumes.
