Junior Synopsis The long awaited time was here at last. We were no longer looked down upon by the upper classmen but were now one of them. While most classes have set a record for being the largest or most talented, ours was known for its number of boys—seven boys to twenty-six girls. The year started off with a picnic held at the park in October. On December 1, the class sponsored a successful school dance. The class play, a farce-comedy, Love Your Neighbor, was presented on November 15. The cast of eighteen and their troubles with bees kept the large audience in hysterics. Most of the juniors were kept busy with extra curricular activities. Some of the boys participated in football and basketball. The girls were well represented in both the Pep Club and G. A. A. Sally Ravenscroft was a cheerleader, and many were in band, music groups, and declamation. Bonnie Peterson was chosen to be the junior attendant to the queen for homecoming. Of the many school activities, perhaps the most important was the day we spent at the courthouse for County Government. Those elected were: County Judge, Bonnie Peterson; County Clerk, Donna Lee Solfer-moser; Clerk of District Court, Mae Jo Washburn; County Treasurer, Janice Hen-sel; County Superintendent, Maxine Henry; County Sheriff, Milton Schwartz; County Assessor, Norbert Brockmann; County Surveyor, James Jerman; County Attorney, Bob Englehardt; and County Supervisors, Shirley Will, Elizabeth Johnson, Joyce Beer-bohm, Anita Wickert, Lois Priebnow, Neva Knuppel, and Marcella Volker. After weeks of planning and hard work under the guidance of our sponsors, Miss Lallman and Miss Ickman, the Junior-Senior banquet and dance turned out to be a huge success. After an exciting and memorable year we, the juniors, look forward to the day next fall when we will enter the halls of West Point High School as seniors, the class of 1951. SECOND SEMESTER OFFICERS: Norbert Brock-mann, Vice President; Bob Englehardt, President; Shirley Will, Secretary; not pictured, Lois Priebnow, Treasurer.
