OTHE 1935 RECORD! At last! The June term is on, and we, as High Seniors, have begun the last lap of our journey toward the station marked Graduation With this new term has come into being what had previously been believed not only improbable, but impossible -the Eighth Wonder of the World-our Class! Any one looking upon this great group of five hundred and seventy strong could not but confirm this statement. We seem more than just a class-in fact, we have all the aspects of a great city. As our train stops at this city which lies at the crossroads leading to Graduation or Uncertainty, let us alight and take in the points of interest. Naturally the first building that we come across is the city hall. A meeting of the council is in session with Mayor Lois Ledy presiding. Let us investigate and dis- cover for ourselves the trend the meeting is taking. Lois has just finished reading the resignation of Secretary Betty Deininger. It is voted to accept this resignation so that Betty may become Chairman of the Senate, our great lawfmaking body. Dorothy O'Brien is installed as her successor with William Netsky as new VicefPresident. This being national election time, all 'Lcitizens' were going to the polls, and we were soon informed that Bob Herr had been elected President of the C. A. Then council elections named Irving Nuremberg Editor of the RECORD, to be aided by twenty' eight assistants. Mary Harvey, Editor of the Western News, was also chosen from our midst. With all these elections going on naturally our city had its politics, directed by the party leaders, Miss Richards and Mr. A. S. Longacre, whose helpful and untiring efforts did much to better our city. , We next decided to visit the courts where Knute Neilson was meting out justice, assisted by Senior Associate Justices Norma Endy, Nanette Bellina, and Howard Doug' lass. Of course there were several shyster lawyers standing about and two of these proved to be William Netsky and Regina Pollock, class horsers. But what wild strains of music do we hear coming from yon dance casino? Why, it's the Senior Prom in full swing! This gala affair was preceded by two socials which proved even more successful than that of the previous term. Hearing the shrill whistle which announced the departure of our train, we hurry back to the, station, board the Pullman, and are soon speeding on toward our destination. As we pass along we view with pride our past achievements, and realize that the inspira' tions afforded by the Seven Wonders of the World have been fulfilled. What does the future hold in store? we ask ourselves. We can only hope the next four years will be as happy for us as the last four have been. Toward what are we heading? Your class historian does not venture to say, all that he can answer is, Time alone will tell. I 'Twenty
