This performance followed fifty-four years after the debut performance held in Budapest, Hungary. Carousel is a musical adaptation of Frederic lVlolnar's classic drama, Lliom, presenting a ro- mantic view of life with the seriousness and con- tradictions of human nature. Linda Zone played the part of Julie and Dave Hakken played the part of the good-for-nothing Carnival harker, Billy. This musical was the highlight of the Drama Departmenfs undertakings throughout the year. In all, over one-hundred students participated in the gala event. Mr. Gene Rucker directed the show. I3
