A special pep meeting, yells for the queen, a parade in the afternoon, and a foot- ball game on a beautiful fall night marked Homecoming of 1956. Queen Syble Foley and her court were honored at the football game between West Memphis and Newport at Friendship Field. The band formed an aisle for the queen and court to pass through and their escorts met them in the center of the field. The court watched the activities from a beauti- fully decorated blue and white throne.
