A great percentage of today's jobs Stem directly from Manual Arts, Home Economics, Physical Education, Busi- ness courses, and the Creative Arts. A stu- dent learns the importance of working with others while gaining a physical skill. This prepares him for whatever career he may enter. In recent years several changes have been made in West's non-academic program. One of these new programs is modern dance in- terpretations, taught by University of Wis- consin dance majors. As the new nation- wide physical fitness program begins, the boys' gym classes can soon expect changes. With the addition of the swimming pool, the physical education program at West will be further expanded and broadened to in- clude swimming instruction.
