Various competitions, throughout the year, were held to see who could take the best and most interesting pictures. These competitions were held weekly to keep the members interested in photography. Mr. John Millard, sponsor, helped the students with problems that confronted members and gave them tips and professional advice on picture- taking.

Teachers and Students Enjoy Chess This past year, the Chess Club, under the super- vision of Mr. Delbert Peterson, helped its mem- bers to cultivate their minds by encouraging deep thinking over their chess games. The students found some stiff competition with the teachers 4 , that were interested in chess. Throughout the year, the teachers and students participated in play-offs among themselves and, sometimes, with players from other schools.
