Tenny-bobber displays her intense devo- tion for Conrad Birdie. We love you Conrad, oh yes we do, echoed through the auditorium of West when the choral department presented the musical Bye, Bye Bird- ie', on Nov. 15 and 16. It was the time of screaming girls and teen-age ideals. It was the fifties and like so many other pop song writers of the day, Albert Peterson was in debt even though he had been writing for one of those idols, Conrad Birdie. To make matters worse, Conrad was to be drafted, leaving Albert with no way out. But his secretary and fiancee, Rosie Alverez, had the idea of a song called One Last Kissi' to be sung by Conrad to one lucky girl on national television. This would get Albert out of debt. Kim Macafee was the chosen one, but her steady, Hugo wasnit too happy about the idea. Complications arose when Hugo and Conrad met. At the same time, Rose was having trouble with Albert's mother who didn't want to let her little boy go. Thus the story unfolded. Rose Alverez . . . Albert Peterson . Conrad Birdie . .
