Combined Orchestras Works to Play According to director Archie Rader, this years orchestra though small did an outstanding job. At the beginning of the year they made money selling Christmas items. With the money they earned, they went on tour vvith Bakersfield High School to Fresno State College and San Francisco. Their Christmas pageant vvas a big success with over 700 participants from all the high schools in it. Orchestra members from West High included: Terri Brantley-lst violin, Theresa Buttimore-2nd violin, Joan Rummelsburg-2nd violin, Jim Rhinesmith- cello, Cynthia Jung-cello, Phillip Ost-oboe, Patty Lee-bass, Louise Heaton-bass, Sandra Tabor-French horn, and Deidre Harris-piano. lVliddle Picture: Director Archie Rader leads West Highs orchestra in preparation for the Christmas pageant.
