Harriers Keep Steady Pace The 1978 Harriers were led by Randy Steed and newcomer Bryce Kibby, Coach Wren looks at this year as a rebuilding period, with the loss of many good men last year. This year the team was made up of new and unexperienced runners that will build into an excellent team next year. Runners returning next year are lVlark Clement, John Dye and John Najera, along with Bryce Kibby and letterman Randy Steed Team Members are: first row: John Najera, lVlark Clement, Alan Fitch, Bryce Kibby, Randy Steed, Fred Zulfa, Jack Gil, Brian Church, Second row, Paul Gipson, lVIike Niville, Tomm Neff, Brian Lucker, Brian lVlullins, John Dye, Kirk Hoy. Third row, Brad Fleischer, Bekle Tobebe, John Roberts, Gene Gipson, Jay Blackman, lVlaurice Woods, lVlitch Robinson, Geoff lVlorgan and Coach Jim Wren. Runners in action, counter clockwise, newcomer Karrie Ricketts, Kim Templeton, girls' number one harrier, Gene Gipson runs varsity at the KC Invitational, Jack Gil gladly hnishes his race. lVlitch Robinson, lVlaurice Woods, and Jack Gil at the beginning of a frosh-soph race, Kim Ross strides for the finish line. Randy Steed is the Varsity number one runner.
