Twenty-eight JANUARY CLASS PROPHECY OF '44 I have rubbed my magic lamp, my faithful genie has appeared, and I, Aladdin. am about to see the January 1944 graduating class ten years hence. I hereby prophesy: Having reached the budding metropolis of East Ovahcoot, Nebraska, we sought lodging at the most elaborate hotel Cand the only oneD in town The Dew-Droppe Inn Cbefore it falls inl owned and operated by the richest men in town, WM. BILL AUMILLER and EVAN HERMAN KNOX II. We were shown to our rooms by the only working individual in the joint, MARJORIE BEARD. While waiting for dinner, we ran into the famous author ROGER Tllll LODGEPU' MILLER gathering material for his new biography entitled. The Life and Loves of ROBERT WATTS, the Scientist. Dinner was prepared by the famous', nutritionist MARY LOUISE ROACH who was temporarily paying for her back lodging. Dinner music was furnished by 'ACHEWIN' CHUCK RICHARDS and his orchestra, featuring DOT MeCUNE and her clarinet with music arranged by EUGENE LOVVERY. Leaving the Inn, the next morning, we were forced to take cover behind a tree to avoid the flying hoofs of Boy, noble steed of the famous desperado of the Old West, DEADEYE ROEDERER. CPlease notice that this is not a gasoline t-ommercialll Trying to thumb a ride to the station we were picked up by FIRMAN THE FIREMANU MOORE who was rushing home to lunch. We were immediately arrested for speeding by the town's only Hatfoot, HARVEY TILLER. We were taken to the county court house where we were tried by his honor, JUDGE LYNN BIEGLER, and our ease was recorded by the county recorder, APEL CBILLD JOHNSON. We were let off easy due to the fact that the judge used to copy my algebra, and we paid our fine to county bailiff WILMER CSTAND VVOODRUFF. We barely made the East Ovahcoot Limited Cand we do mean limitedD for New York. We found the engineer to be GROVER MELVEN and the power behind the engine, FIREMAN CBOBD MCGRAIL. Passing through the beautiful countryside of Ohio we saw the Fallin' Down Dairy Farm of 'iJO CFRIEBISD and SCIIULZE SHEWARD. Our trip was made more glamorous and enjoyable by the sweet co-eds of Old P. U. Cpomcnto University to youD MARTHA VON SCHRILTZ, BETTY MOORE, GENELDA HEINZMAN, CONNIE LOVE and EDITH NEFF and their fond devotion to football hero, FRANKLIN JACKSON. Stepping off the train at Grand Central Station we were greeted by BUNNY WATKINS, the New York Times Star reporter, who was seeking a human interest story. After registering at the VValdorf, we took a stroll down Wall Street and ran into the famous Wall Street Wolves, HAROLD WEBB, BOB LIMLE, WOLFRED WADDINGTON, and DICK WESLEY. VVoo Wool!!! We ate our lunch at DOTTIE'S CWISEMAND Delightful, Delcctible Deli- catessen, -delicious duck dinners for which she is celebrated. There we found MARKY EMBLETON and MATERE ALBAN, pilots for United Airlines accompanied by JANE GIBBON and JANE HAWTHORNE, hostesses, who were just ready to take off for Florida from LaGuardia Field, carrying Senator JAMES JESSUP and his private secretary, JANICE SUVER. Our next stop was Radio City where BETTY VVORREL, JEAN BLANKNER. and VIRGINIA KILBURY are telephone operators. We were told we could find The CALICED REMINGTONS Rhapsodies Hour, featuring PAUL ZEISLER. well known American tenor, and Lyric Soprano, JUNE GLASGOW, in Studio 7. As we entered, we distinctly heard the melodious tones of MIRIAM Cwho uses IriumD MORE and her harp. Between numbers VIRGINIA YEATER, ANITA SIMMERS and MARY SMITH Cthe original Superb Suds girlsl sing their famous commercial. In Studio I3 we saw TED CArthur MurrayD MANSON giving his famous rumba lessons to JOHN STEINER and BOB RAUCH, businessmen, and OSCAR SMITH and DON MCCREADY, great Shakespearean actors.
