Dear Alfred, After being' elected to write the Class Proph- ecy, we realized we knew nothing about fore- telling the future. So we decided to go to a for- tune teller. When we entered the room, we were greeted by the fortune teller who called herself the Prin- cess of Babylon. Gazing into her crystal ball, she asked us if we knew Mary Angelo, ,loyce Antonelli, Carol Miga, Geraldine Ritz, Irene Richards, Jean Pet- role and Carol XVagner, who will be nurses on the staff of the Mfest Hazleton State Hospital soon to be constructed. Miriam Pecora will be chief head nurse and also on the staff will be two outstanding doctors, Robert Miller and jack Mumawg and, at the head of the X-ray depart- ment, Diane Kapes. The next vision revealed to us joseph Mc- Gasko and his -Iazz Band composed of Richard Housekneeht, Celestine Lamb, and Mfilliam Bei- sel. They were appearing at Robert and Donald Martonfckls famous nightclub. ln still another revelation, she saw that lamous lawyer, YVilliam Casper, working on a prominent case. XVorking as his secretary was Verda Zanolini. The next vision was that of an advertisement in front of the Paramount Theater in New York City with Madeline Bonacci, star attraction this week. In the same show were Eugene Christina, Barbara Stasukonfs, and Lois Lombardo. Next she recognized our president, Stanley llasinowski, who is now Mayor, sitting at a meet- ing of the M'est Hazleton Chamber of Commerce with the following members, Noel Perlinsky, Timothy Schott, Leo Fendrick, Thomas Ziminski, Leland Halliet, and XValter Dombrowski. In another vision she saw the famous dance studio of Mary Carr and Richard Cheslock, Tak- ing lessons was that graceful Miss Elizabeth Sun- dra. Then she saw Lana Pasdon, Elizabeth Sotack, 34 Futureville November 30, 1959 and liileen Murphy running a famous beauty salon in Hollywood. They were working on that famous singer Annarita Dixon. The salon was luxurious and we were told it was decorated by June Getz and Charles Dalpiaz, nationally known interior decorators. She studied her crystal ball once more and told us that -Ioseph Leonard and M'illia1n Mac- Kunis are coaching the football team at XVest Hazleton College. Teaching at the College are Rosalie Switaj, Phyllis Ferry, and Joseph Ben- deravich. The dean is Donald Ballantyne. The world of basketball eatne into view and she saw james Brown, Robert Volciak, and James Fichter playing professional basketball. She saw a new Bakery expand under the supervision of XVilliani Yenkevich and Vincent Taluskie. Plans and blueprints for the building were drawn up by James lflnat and Michael Vin- chur, Bakery goods are ably produced by Anna Marie Fellin, Veronica hlournick, and Anna Marie Samec. Of course there is that important member of the Senior class, Joseph Capparell, who is a famous photographer specializing in photograph- ing exclusive creations. They are modeled by -lean Allen, Sylvia Faz.o, Margaret Stecker, glean Chura, and Nancy Efsenhart. All creations are designed by Barbara Collins and Mary Ann Burger. The fortune teller saw great works of art in a museum in Paris. The outstanding painters were of course, Patricia Kudrick, Shirley Brugger, and Ruth Schade. That famous sculpture artist, Cecilia Nemcth, also displayed her works of art. Also displaying their talent were Mariann Vogt, -Ioan Glod, 'lane Bloss, and Albert Valerian. After this she revealed the success of several fine secretaries in our class: -lean li. Ritz, Chris- tine Crohol, Hernadine Coydish, and Carol Rob- erts, to name a few. There was, of course, an effi- cient secretarial agency run by jean A. Ritz. Her employees were Jane Ann Schegan, JoAnne Rymsva, Beverly Ott, Dolores Sussick, Bonnie Smith, and Shirley Szutowicz. A vision of a prosperous farmer appeared next in her crystal ball. He was James Cassarella, famous for his work with dairy products. Other well known men in the agricultural field were XVayne Seely, Mfilbur Shuman, Dale vVolfe, Ron- ald Zanoline, and Hlilliam Heckrote. The crystal ball revealed a super deluxe serv- ice station run by Joseph Zanolini and Clyde Van Horn. JVC saw four Cadillacs drive into the service station driven by Donna Petrole, physical therap- ist, Sheila Gallagher, the famous newspaper col- umnist, Ray Gogola, the engineer, and John Levkulic, the dentist. Attending the service sta- tion was Leon Krzemien. The next scene was one of relaxation. It was a marble swimming pool in that famous hotel in Florida run by Steve Fellin and Leo Matusho- neck. Lounging and enjoying the exclusive sur- roundings were Tempest McAfee, Bette Davis and Carol Hunsinger. The business managers, of course, were Edward Sharp and George Schweit- zer. Chief hostess was Rita Kovalick. Head chef was Paul Cossack and the other cooks were Theresa Herbinko, Loretta Karmonick and Emi- ly Levitsky. Of course, there are those enterprising young people on X'Vall Street in New York Cityg Bene- dict Kapes, Stephen Kakalecik, Lee Hildebrand, Joanne Sclnnauch, Judith Heiser, Peter Kuzmis- sion, and Barbara Hawke. Also residing in New York are Fred Polli, pediatrician, John Dalesan- dro, the musical co-mposer, and Mary Ann Bobby, owner of an exclusive dress shop. Oh, we didn't mean to forget Barbara Bronsavage, the famous novelist, or Stanley Treskolasky, Doris Kyte, and Mary Ann Burger, the publishers. As we listened in amazement, she described another scene of the future. The scene was an airport, and driving to the entrance of the land- ing field was a slick black car. In it was Mildred Roth - the millionairess. The limousine was driven by Stanley Molosky and it was designed by Stanley Hlitkowski. Another person about to board the plane was Sergeant Jolm Belko, now attached to the army. Also boarding the plane was that well-known comedian Rodney Ochs, Congressman Dennis XVard, and some very pros- perous people in the business world: Andrew Baratta, James Drucker, Robert Getz, Gloria Bodnar, Margaret Hoffman, and XVilliam Paisley. Their destination of course, was Hawaii. YVe weren't at all surprised to see those two lovely hostesses Patricia Luchi and Marlene Michaly- shin. The two pilots in charge of the flight were Russell Smith and Victor Foose. YVe should men- tion that one of the owners of the Air Travel Corporation is XVilliam Shaffer. The scene switched again to a glamorous girls' finishing school in New England. The school, we were shocked to learn, was ably controlled by Anna Marie Vicolini, Nancy Sherrock, and Rose- mary Stashko, NVe noticed that the students had prominent names such at Stoll, the daughter of Mr. Joseph Stoll, the wealthy banker. There was the former Phyllis FogeI's daughter, and the daughters of Ufilliam Kondash, YVilliam Slattery, James Shewack, James McCaffrey, and Joseph Nicholas. Teaching at the school were Barbara Mfarner, Eileen Kukel, Camille Ganc, Faith Flaim, and Cecilia Stanziola. The school is dedi- cated to that famous scientist, Joseph Barto, who recently won the Nobel Peace Prize. He was financed by those well-known philanthropists Judith Bachman, David Leonard, Robert Schreff- ler, and Sherry Ulshafer. The school was con- structed by the Hersker Construction Company under the supervision of John McGeehan, John Kummerer, and Henry Keiper. The fortune teller asked us if she had forgot- ten anyone, and we immediately replied Marilyn Foose. X'Ve were told that Marilyn is happily mar- ried to a wealthy Texas rancher. YVC left the fortune teller feeling shocked and amazed. Some things were difficult to be- lieve, but who knows, that crystal ball may be right after all. XN'e'll just have to wait and see, and hope that whatever the future holds for the Class of 1960, they will enjoy Yf'ealth, Health, Happiness, and Success in all their lives.
