THE DAY TO BE DIFFERENT Halloween has never seen such creative costumes as appeared this year at West Essex. 'It's the only day to be different!' said one student. And different is exactly the way to describe this Halloween's costumes. It was not a rare sight this Halloween to see Senior 'nerds' tripping through the hallways with their briefcases and calcu- lators at their sides. One could also laugh at real life Little Rascal's characters, the traditional gypsies, clowns, babies, and even flappers from the Twenties showed up for this October 31st. Even Wessex faculty and staff took part in the days' fun. Mrs Small's impersonation of Dolly Parton was truly amazing In addition the office secretaries disguised themselves as a clan of witches. The Student Voice, who ran and judged the costume con- test. was faced with some tough decisions in their election of the winners. Best overall costume winners were: 12th grade- Matt Martini, Rob Lombardi, and Dave Serio as the crazy bunch of 'nerds', 11th grade-Anthony Fraconaro as an eyeball, and 10th grade--Paul Caputo as a colorful Gummy- bear.
