CAMPAIGN '86 The hanging of posters, the dis- tributing of flyers, and the making of promises were all part of the 1986 elections for class officers During the weeks preceding the voting, posters recognizing the many candidates hung on virtual- ly every window of the school Promising to make 1985-1986 a better school year for their class, each candidate actively tried to obtain students'votes Candidates went even to such lengths as to pass out buttons and candy1 On Tuesday, September 24, 1985, Senior candidates for office had the privilege of giving campaign speeches to their fellow Senior classmates These speeches contained ideas involv- ing school spirit and student leadership and were all received remarkably well by the Senior class. All of the hard campaigning work of Sophomore and Junior candidates came down to a mere five minutes in homerooms where the voting took place Seniors, on the other hand, had to register before casting their vote into an 'official' ballot box Congratulations to all who par- ticipated in the elections of 1985- 19861 Martin ADVERtlSING PAYS Wessex windows are decorated by candidates running lor offices ERIKA WEBER FOR vice president OPTIMIStIC Sophomore Erika Weber awaits election day
