uakecafuf As the class of 1950 is graduated from West Chester High School, the staff of the Garnet and White endeavors to present in this yearbook a record of our school years. The most outstanding feature of our 1950 yearboolc is the combination of art and photography. With much patience and deliberation our art staff constructed the small, three-dimensional, paper sculpture figures which adorn the divider pages. Of course we liberally inserted the Warrior, our school symbol, throughout the boolc. It can easily be noticed that changes, enormous or minute, concerning artworlc or major problems, are necessary and must constantly be taking place. The experiences which the class of 1950 has thus far encountered in its three short years of high school are material proof of this fact. We were the last to have classes in the old senior high building, the lost to have the opportunity of malcing general bedlam in B-6 during lunch hour, to create extreme confusion in the loclcer rooms, and to resist the temptation of walking down the senior steps. After the fire it was neces- sary for us to adjust ourselves to new hours, heavier schedules, and the absence of many popular extra-curricular activities. We hope that the changes which we have experienced in the past three years will enable us to face with competence any new situations which we may encounter in the future. THE EDITORIAL STAFF 5
