A. A. 3-4 As Time Goes By The 1946 senior class is a very musical group. We have many representatives in all the musical activities at W. C. H, S. lt seems to us, however, that the most music We have heard while in school has been The tune of the hickory stick . After a grade school life that took in all the usual adventures and misadventures of that period, We held our sixth grade graduation. As we look back, we re- member how proud we were of our caps and gowns. Iunior High gave us the much needed confidence we were to find so valuable upon entering high school. Who can ever forget the freshman reception which was given in our honor by the sophomores? ln spite of the terrible ordeal suffered by the poor freshies , we thoroughly enjoyed the dance held afterward. The junior play, FOOT-LOOSE, was quite a success, in spite of the many setbacks and difficulties which were encountered. The Iunior-Senior Reception, which we gave in honor of the Senior class, was looked forward to with great enthusiasm by the members of our class: nor were they disappointed. The affair went over with a bang, and the fried chicken and soothing Hawaiian music helped to make the occasion a success. Our senior play was a delightful comedy entitled YOU CAN'T TAKE IT WITH YOU, It seemed the weather man was against us, however, because there was a minor blizzard on the night of the performance and a slight crowd attended. The play was well done in spite of this, and the criticism was very favorable. The senior prom was by far the best event of its kind ever to be given at West Carrollton. The gym was beautifully decorated on a Victory theme by Mr. Kaiser with the aid of the senior boys. Eddie Iames and his orchestra made such sweet music that it even rivalled that of his more famous name-sake. The most exciting, yet the saddest year of our high school ended with the choosing of invitations and name cards. The exciting part came in the form of the many senior activities and the hope of everyone's eventual graduation. The sad part came in the reluctance of all of us to leave West Carrollton High School and all the friends whom we have made here. There will be an empty place in our hearts when we leave: and I am sure there will be an empty place in the halls of W. C. H. S. as well. BILL ANDREWS
