JUNIOR HISTORY Ne, the JUH1OT Class, started our school days at Nest Car rollton in the year 1930 The flrst year was an excltlng tlme ln our llves, the three followlng years were excltlng also, because of the new teachers and studles We were the last slxth grade to graduate 1nto Junlor Hlgh from the old audltorlum In Junlor Hlgh we had a 'student counclln organlzed by Mlss Eck Thls group solved all school dlfficultles These two years gave us a taste of the conlng hlgh school year Although the glrls and boys were separated dur1ng the flrst two years of hlgh school they remalned, at heart, one class The Junlor Class has nearly flfty members and all are look lng forward to the act1v1t1es of the year As we bld the Senlors farewell at the Receptlon, we wlll be looklng forward to the com lng Senior year Mary Jean Blackburn SOPHOMORE CLASS The Sophomore class of 1941 has many pleasant thoughts of 1ts past ten years The flrst of our school l1fe began under the guldance of Iiss shepherd and Mlss Jellbaum In the slxth grade we looked forward to graduatlon and were very proud of the fact In our freshman year we wele allowed, for the flrst tlme to earn money fe began by sclllng candy and soft lrlnk at basket ball and bascoall games The boys and glrls were separated ln the flrst of our hlgh school years Many of the boy entered ln to sports, whllc the flrls pent thelr tlme plannlng such thlngs as D ITl6S nd hlk6S We are engoylng our sophomore year tremendously and now feel that we are needed s a cart of the school sophomores are well represented ln H1 y, Glrl Reserves band, orchestra chorus, and all sports Cora Dodds 25 tx ' 1 .- . . . . . . . , . . . ., T 1 ' fi I A ' that we were the first class to graduate in caps and gowns. , I 1 . .
