Mr. Wentworth served as President oi the Board from 1880 until his deatli in isa?, after whidi time he haa been succeeded by Judge Bicbard Field. It is the duty of the Soaid to see that the management of the Academy Is entrusted tn cnmpftf ' nt officers and that thp stanfljirds set I v Mr. Wentwortlt in the original diarter are maintained. All members uf the faculty arc voted on by the Board and it is provided tluilt such officers in addition to being dilly qualified schoiastically for the teaching re- quired, must be men or women of Christian character regularly affiliated with some Evan- idical church.
