A gymnasium is always open for use, and the daily miiitaiy drill is as regularly requned as reci- tations, affording one of the best exercises known for physical development. AU pupils from a distance and all the teachers board and lodge in the school, in order that the influence and supervision of the teacher may be con- stantly and most successfully exercised. By this Intimate association between pupil «nd teacher, that part of a youth ' s education which is outside of the text book can be best attended to. They are shielded from evil in- fluences and taught habits of gentility, neatness and punc- tuality. The careless are required and taught how to study, and the ambitious are encouraged to greater en- deavor. The school is, as it were, one large family, in which each teacher occupies the place of a parent or an elder brother to the boys. Locstion.
