BEVERLY ANN BOYD A light heart lives long. If that is so, Bev will live to be a hundred at least. She is our very capable cafeteria worker who may some day open her own cafeteria in North Berwick, where she has many interests. A person can't have any secrets, can she, Bev? To Beverly goes the distinction of having the loudest giggle in the class. A considerable part of Bev's time this year has been taken up in being Miss Weymouth's Man Friday in the library. If you ever attend a school function, whether it's a regular session or a game, you are sure to see the late Miss Brown strolling in. Of course, that gives us all a chance to appreciate the fact that she was voted the best dressed girl in the class. A truer and kinder hearted person never lived, and she can always be depended on to play her best on the basketball court. Here's luck to you, Sandy. Whenever we need a helper, Russell's always ready. He did a fine job handling the tonic at the basketball games this year. Did someone say a cake was needed? Russell can supply one for any occasion--and a mouth-watering one too, Perhaps Russell should join his pal, Lloyd, in a saleman's career, for he sold Christmas cards like the proverbial hot cakes. Tonic Salesman 4g Yearbook Staff 4. DANIEL ARTHUR COOK 'Never do today what you can put off till tomorrow. lf you ever want to find Danny, never look for him in his seat, for that would be the last place to find him. You might find him at the drinking foun- tain, reading the sports pages in the library, or just plain socializing in the corridors. That is where he has put in the practice that won him his class superlative of 'the biggest flirt. fWas that the biggest in tonnage or in vol- tage?J Danny has used his powerful physique to such effect on the football field that he was given honorable mention as center on the ALL-STATE TEAM. Of course, Danny's middle name should be Procrastinate, but his good humor and friendliness can make even the teachers sometimes forget that. Track 3, 4: Football 1, 2, 3, 4. PAUL GILBERT ABENDROTH A laugh is worth a thousand groans. Our Paul may not be Bunyon, but he's a pretty big boy just the same. He always lends a certain weight to any class activity. Paul makes a wonderful defense on the football field. Maybe that'is due to the cheering of a certain sophomore. Band 1, 2, 3,43 Track 4g Football 43 Junior Play 3. MARLOW EDWARD ADAMS Men of few words are the best of men. Humphrey is the name. lf you want a good stage manager, just ask for Marlow. He's a jolly, good-natured classmate who pulls his weight in class activities. Cars are his first and greatest love. If it has wheels, Marlow is interested. Yearbook Staff 4: Stage Manager 3,4. GLADYS ELIZABETH ALLEN Here is a dear and true industrious friend. Anyone want candy? Just ask Betty. She can always be seen with the candy or counting the candy money. Sweets with the sweet, we say. Betty is pretty handy at the typewriter, too. It looks as if Betty is the only one in our class whose ambition it is to be a nurse. Imagine how lucky her patients will be! Want to make a bet that she marries a doctor? LLOYD EDWIN ALLEN It is far safer to say too little than too much. Lloyd is one of the few quiet members of our class: in fact, he was voted the quietest. He never says more than is necessary. We think Lloyd should take up salesmanship for a career, judging by the outstanding job he did sell- ing Christmas cards for the class, not to mention the ice-cold tonic at the basketball games. WARREN GAYLAND COUSINS It's the steady and quiet ones who win in the long run. If the above quotation is true, Warren is due for a great victory in the future Quiet, he surely is--just nosed out of first place in the class vote. At times though, he can be a nuisance to his neighbor in homeroom. He's quite a tease. Warren is often seen riding around in his DeSoto with a certain junior miss. ARLINE JOYCE EPPICH A hard worker comes out on top. The class evidently believes this, for they voted Joyce the girl most likely to succeed. Joyce can handle the most involved tasks carefully and surely. Her two years as class treasurer and this past year as business manager of the year- book have certainly shown that. Whenever a senior has wanted help with his work, the cry is Ask Joyce, and Joyce always comes to the rescue. Semper paratus is her motto in school work, class activities and in any kind of fun-- even trips to Florida. ALFRED LEO GAGNON 'Aim high and hold your aim. Freddy has been our faithful vice president for two years and was voted as the boy most likely to succeed. ln spite of his business experience in handling the senior store this year, Freddy is still sticking to his first love--agriculture. His favorite sport is football, and his favorite girl--well, perhaps some con- clusion might be drawn from his frequent trips to Moody. JANET LOUISE GOODALE Good -natured people gain many friends. Janet is that cute forward who racks up all the points on the basketball court. ln addition, her good ranks helped her to be voted the best all around' girl. She is a loyal worker for the class and a friend to all. Janet can often be seen walking the corridor with a certain Babe -Y. If she carries through her present ambition to be a teacher, the profession will certainly be benefited thereby.
