DRAMATICS The above scene from the '49 Senior Play, Little Miss Some- body, shows the pretty Cinderella heroine, Betty wilson, comfort- ing James Severs as Old Mike. He recovers from a.mnesia and proves to be her fond and wealtkv parent. Betty's selfish aunt is ably portrayed by Janice Seversg her generous uncle, Dr. John, by Lee Armijo. Victor Wolfe, young medical student, finally persuades Dorothy Davis to share the life of a country doctor. The harum- scarum son, Donald Mallett, his pretty girl friend, Barbara Newlun, and genial Elvin DeGabain who loses his fortune but gets his gal, are all well cast. Zella Ilautum again proves her ability in charac ter roles as Duffy, the maid. In the '48 play, Going On Seventeen, the title role was por- trayed admirably by Bob Stieben. Bob, Tony, and Dutch were three amateur sleuths who served up the comedy and nearly foiled the attempts of Bud wood, '48, the real detective, to solve the rrwstery Leata Johnson and Leon Baechler, '48, were convincing as father and mother. Rex McCaulley was the misguided bank clerk and had the not-too-difficult role of making love to Doris Stieben, 'Z,8. JoAnn Elder began a career as comedienne as the off-key housemaid. Barbara Severs, Dorothy Mallett, and Donna Schreiner played convincingly the parts of catty friends. Dorothy Davis performed well as the visiting friend. Carol Hatfield was perfect as the female lead. Through Mrs. Daniels' constant guidance and untiring efforts the plays were well given and successful.
