SENIOR CLASS PROPHECY We shall travel ten years into the future a.nd look in on the 1949 seniors of Wellington High School. First we find Ja.mes Severs, one time billionaire, now in New York with only a million dollars to his name. He made his fortune sel.l.ing cotton candy on Coney Island. He lost it on women. Next along our journey we see Barbara Newlun, married to a farmer. She owns a tea room complete with red curtains, home- grown omelets and fried chicken. Bob Stieben is now political campaign manager and ghost writer for the President of the United States. We will tune in our radio and listen to Janice Severs and her two sisters. They have taken the place of the Andrew Sisters on radio, stage, and screen. We find Victor Wolfe, Jr. hard at work drawing up plans for 4-lane highway connecting the important city of Wellington to Washington, D. C. Donald Mallett, traveling salesman for Tinker, Inc., is on the road demonstrating trick gadgets and novelties. We shall go down to Texas, now, and there find Lawrence, Tony, Blehm, a rich cattle rancher. He is sole owner of the great Bar-Nothing Ranch. Richard Hei.mbichner is now a very successful portrait paint- er. All the society women who pose for him fall madly in love with him. This causes a lot of trouble between the painter a.nd his fourth wife. We will return to good old Wellington where we shall see Elvin DeGabain, head mechanic, in the Lincoln Highway Garage. Leata J ohnson, wealthy widow of the recent New York stock broker, J . D. Vandelhoofer, is national president of Federated Women' s Club. Donna Schreiner caught the eye of great Hollywood Producer, David O. Selznick. She is now his personal secretary in Holly- wood. Our next visit will be Denver. Here we find Lee Armijo, famous basketball player, playing for Denver Nuggets. Lee is drawing only 81,000 a week. He is considering a job as player for Globe Trotters. They offer him 551, 500 a week. We shall now hop over to Fort Collins and find a. great beauty operator, Dorothy Davis, working in Lloyds Beauty Shop. Women from all states come to her for new styles in hair-dress- ing. Next we take 'a long trip to Africa. Here we find the big game hunter, Rex McCaulley. He owns the lower half of the continent a.nd has turned it into a game refuge. What's this? Zella Hautum is runni.ng a. nursery for small children. She always was fond of young 'uns. Last but not least is Betty Wilson. She is living in New Orleans. She is married and has twelve beautiful children. 8.
