Wellesley free library WELLESLEY. M SS. 02181 B uWmSm, wwM m®m WmkmtM The class of 1959 presents The WELLESLEYAN GAMALIEL BRADFORD SENIOR Wellesley, HIGH SCHOOL Massachusetts WELLESLEY FREE LIBRARY WELLES ' EY. MASS 02181 v r , J S 313 etles ey Editor’s Message Wellesley an Editors Edward Greene, Editor-in-chief; Mimi Dunakin, Art; Arline Hagan, Seniors; Edward Schmidt, Photography. Leaving a -school we have known so well and starting our own separate ways is a demanding task. Though our high school way has sometimes been difficult, we have gained valuable experi¬ ence from many activities. Looking back, we laugh at many of the small things that seemed so important to us; however, certain events will alwavi remain in our mind. Who can ever forget the loyalty exemplified by the student body as it cheered the team on regardless of the score, or the wonderful sen e of achievement felt through participation in extra-curricular hours, or the lasting friendship developed through common sharing of all high school activities. Our school offers so many outstanding facilities that each student has had the opportunity of participating in some function which helps to develop an exemplary character. As the end of our senior year draws near, we find it hard to believe that we shall be enjoying our last dance, our final athletic game, and closing assembly together as a class. We feel that it is impossible that we ' hall ever forget our years here or the example our teachers have act for us. By our loyalty and enthusiasm, we have tried to return some part of all that Wellesley High has given us. And so, it is not good-bye, for we shall we never forget; but rather, it is a sincere thank you, with the hope that the spirit of our school shall always prevail in us. Edward F. Greene Editor Principal ' s Message Samuel M. Graves Principal To the Class of 1959 Your memories wrapped between the covers of this yearbook will be multiplied many fold as the years go by. May you always cherish these memories of your high school years. Measured by a lifetime, it was but yesterday that you left home and found yourself in school for the first time. Through the years that followed you have grown in stature and in knowledge. Your parents and your teachers join in hoping that under their guidance you have learned to dis¬ tinguish between the important and the trivial, between what is right and what is wrong, and between the true and the false. May the lessons so far learned make for truly emccefliful living and ptay with you down through the years. May each of you be a better person because of the memories encompassed in this year¬ book. Good luck and godspeed to you all! Samuel M. Graves Principal 7 John B.
