BACK ROW: Sam Jelovich, Ray Sundquist, Janet Clay, Robin Preble, Gary Olson. The Class of 1969 was led by unmitigatedly qualified officers. President John Basich presided over the many interesting Senior Class meetings, Vice-President Mark Evans became well-known in senate, and Secretary-Treasurer Diane Heiny served as an inspiration to the entire class. Senior senate included such stalwarts as Alan Gozart, Sam Jelovich, Gary Olson, Ray Sundquist, Ann Bramstedt, Janet Clay, Michelle Donovick, and Robin Preble. These talented senators set a noteworthy example for the rest of the Weatherwax senate.

We, the Senior Class of Weatherwax High School, have chosen Mr. William Biisland as our favorite teacher. Mr. Biisland came to Weatherwax in 1962 and has been here every year except 1967 when he attended the University of Hawaii under a federal grant. He traveled extensively throughout the Far East, and his experiences and slides have made his Contemporary World Problems class one of the most interesting in the school.
