It seems some of the staff went to a journalism workshop this last summer, and they've made so manychanges around here that a guy could get lost. I've been well trained for this job, so if you'll stay with me, we'll have smooth sailing all the way through. Well, time's a Wastin', let's go. Beginning the year of 1957-'58, the freshman class had 59 students. Later, Charles Schaub, Susan Schaub, and Jackie Snavely moved. That left us with 56 pupils. We elected class officers and student council members during the first week of this school year. The freshman class began their money- making projects by having a bake sale. We are now saving tax stamps . Over the Christmas vacation there was a cla ss party held in the gymnasium. We appointed a committee for recreation and refreshments. Several of the students are on the honor roll which pleases us. The freshman basketball team consists of ten members. They won games with Perry and Harrod. They still have Blume to compete with in two games . In Mrs . Gosnell's section of the Business Math Class, the students made projects for the first semester showing some of the things they had leamed. They are to be on exhibition in February at open house . This year the seniors of '58 have been busy trying to raise money for their class trip. The class plans to go to Washington, D. C. during the last week of school. Many honors have been received by members of the class. Six boys received letters in football, of whom two ranked on area teams. Three boys received letters in basketball, and two girls received letters as cheerleaders. Six of our class have earned the distinction of being charter members of the Wayne Chapter of the National Honor Society. You've seen the highlights of this past year at ole Wayne, and now it is time to close. We have a gooc school here, and it's getting bigger and better every year. This year we consolidated with Goshen school district, and organized a chapter of the National Honor Society and a Latin Club. We can be proud of a record like that. And so my job as guide is finished. I hope you enjoyed our little trip. I did. Until we me et again, good-bye and good luck.
