GLASS PHUPHEGY In making out my registration papers here, for entry into the United States again, after living in Argentina for several years, I was asked to give references for identity. It came quite naturally to use classmates names and as I remembered some, I began wondering what the rest of them were doing. I soon found out. On my way back home, who do you think was the pilot of the plane? None other than Paul Cummings. During the stop-overs we had a good talk and he helped me locate some of the members of the class. Paul is a commercial pilot flying from Buenos Aires to New York. He's married and loves it. When he was injured in the war five years ago, and in the hospital, he said a little nurse, Audree Gossard, took care of him. When I asked him how Audree had turned out as a nurse he didn't have much to say but I got the general idea she's doing fine, anyhow she is doing research work as head nurse in the City Memorial Hospital in New York, now. Eugene Foor is the only one who stayed in the army after the war. He has been raised to Major General, and is known as the Napoleon of America because of his slight stature, and ability to handle men. Edythe Allison, wife of an Agricultrist expert, designs and models clothes in a Chicago salon. She had her maiden name for only a short while after graduation. Elmer Carter, after attending Business College surprised everyone by stepping directly into his present position as Broker in the Chicago Grain Market. Madalene Brown is a model for a tooth paste advertisement, because of her pearly white teeth. That just goes to show you what a daily tooth brushing will do. Bob McCreight, is a shoe store salesman whose motto is, Fit your heady your feet will take care of themselves. -and believe it or not he practices what he preaches. Arleen Stiles, fremember when she was chosen the best dancer in school?l is now doing her dancing and getting paid for it. Arleen uses fans-and gracefully. Her teammate is Anna Mae Timmons who is the Blues Singer in the same show. For good, morning entertainment you really should tune into WNUT to hear David Reynolds and his singing guitar with a program of famous songs for great lovers. His theme song is his old standby- If You Don't Love Me, Go Away and Leave Me Alone. Avis Kaufman, the quiet lass of the class, is still quiet and is married to a tall, quiet man. Quite a rowdy couple. They own and operate a restaurant in Bismarck, North Dakota. Fred Focht, the bachelor of the class. is the white haired executive president of the University of Colorado and teaches a class in Geology. Herman and Betty Blank, you will remember Miss Knotts, are living on the old home place, Maple Lawn, and raising the staple crop of potatoes. Herman attended college for two years and made a record on the University basketball squad. Betty attended a Home Economics Insti- tute and learned the essentials of housekeeping, before they took the final step. Barbara Heffner and Byron Edgington are featured in the Metropoli- tan Opera in New York as the leading team in the current production of The Country Doctor. Elnora Emrick is a Chemist, experimenting for the U. S. government in Vienna. She has written several books on her discoveries and is listed in the Who's Who in Science. Joe Webb and Joe Leatherman. after a few years, came together in the same capacity. They are models for Hair Oil advertisements and men's sport clothes. Deloris Copeland is still active in sports and a Physical Education teacher in Cleveland. She Roller Skates and Bowls.
