JAWS attacked the country in a wave of popularity as T-shirts and shark teeth jewelry hit the markets along with mood rings, pet rocks, and belly button barometers. Even T.V. programs had take-offs from JAWS. SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE featured Land Shark, as a twist to the hit movie star. Detective stories BARRETT A, STARSKY AND HUTCH, and S.W.A.T. drew Gens to the T.V. as did MONTY PYTHON and RICH MAN POOR MAN.
