On September 24 1954 there were 13 green Freshmen that entered Grass Creek High School They were Darlene Chrlstophex Carol Coffman Myrtle Feldner Judy Fledler Rlchaxd Fields Larry Johnston Tulley Hlzer Doyle Kuhn Vnrglnla McVay Rose Osborne Tom Shanley Joye Watkms and f' 4 B1 1n o lors Young We were duly lmtlated the High School by the Sen who then gave us a party The class party was a hay my and wxener roast We oontmued successfully on through our Fresh man year wlth our sponsor Mrs HIZBF As we entered our Sophomore year we found out vue were with out Rose Osborne and Larry John ston Thns fles a so that e Mrs that left our class wlth 11 year we had many cake mf at the basketball games and plcked up corn Our class party year was a skatmp, party wlth Freshmen Our sponsor was Huff Early thls year vue got our class rmgs of whlch we were very proud In early Aprlll we presented our Junlor play There was a cast party after the play at the F1ed1er resldence We made money for the class treasury by sellmg concess lons at noon and at the home bas ketbfall games and selllng maga ZIDGS Our class also sponsored a Hallloween Carmval whlch turned out very well Our class was de creased by one m January when Tulley Hlzer enlxsted ln the Au' Force Each member of the band 9 igixve 9 PSLLQS pb Class Hnslory if YLE WOM mi' 'fl Class Colors RED and W HITF Class Molto and chorus recelved muslc pms this year After our play we were busy planmng for the receptlon held ln honor of the SGHIOPS It was a memorable dmner and dance held at the Culver Inn wxtih lts theme bemg Dancmg ln the Dark Mrs Herrold was our sponsor thus year and dumng the summer all the class emoyed a p1cn1c at the Max mkuckee Lake ln Culver The flrst thlng thls year was the sale of magazlnes for two weeks followed by the sellmg of Chrlst mas Cards Then came the takmg of annual ads We were out four days for that And then on Satur day mght February 22 1958 the students of Grass Creek Hlgh School and guests fattended the Sweetheart ball sponsored by the Semor class The gym was beautl ful'ly decorated ln red and whlte The couples entered through archway covered wlth roses The Melo tones furnlshed muslc for dancmg and tables lmed the dance floor On the punch table gayly decorated w1th more roses were cookxes and a punch bowl wlth a heart shaped xce mold floatmg ln the punch Other actlvxtles Included gowns plCk1I'lg speakers and plan nlng programs for the Baccalaur eate and Commencement The cl1 max of our year was the Semor trlp to New York Washlngtcm D C and Canada from wh1ch we returned m tlme for Commence ment week th CAN XIX? 3004 SADDI I' HOUR DRBAX 5 AND RIDE.
