,X In our sophomore year, John Mellody took over as advisor to the class of 1971. Since then, he has proved to be not only an integral part in the development of our class, but a good friend as well. We didn't mind it when he wore that gray sweater every day lwith the hole in the shoulderj, or when he insisted on doing pull-ups on the door of the Language office, or when he always greeted us with Okay, who's the wise guy . . . Although Mr. Mellody had many other duties, he was al- ways ready to help our class with its many proiects. He was always present at dances, at meetings, at concession - working with us to benefit our struggling class. We sincerely appreciate the many things he has done for us, and we all thank him for sticking with us and helping so much. Pax tecum, Mr. Mellody.
