OUR CLASS The Class of '47 are we, Come to our journey's end, With many things to put to use As down life's path we wend. We all were children, full of npep,' Just mites, 'til '43, When we completed the eighth grade And felt proud as could be. We entered high school in the fall, The smallest of nsmall fry,n A bit afraid of this new life, with tears in every eye. All faced the throng and came along 'Til Seniors now are weg The hours we've spent within these halls Will be a reverie. f 'sulfoh fnqt0my While there in front of Jackie Bates Sat Marge and Doris and Dang Then Joan and I sat side by side As members of this clan. Next Dickie Dew and fair Maxine, nBuzzn Bowers, 'n nSleep,n 'n Bill, Then Mary, Ketchen, Dick and Hash Were next to Marge and Pill. Around me sat the boys and girls, My friends of many years, I knew that with our leaving here Would come the countless tears. Before me sat our president With business of the dayg Our Fran seemed sad, yet somehow glad, His thoughts all miles away. QMS Richard, our super Newsweek man, Our very own class wit, Was seated near our hero Fran, The star with baseball mitt. Next Joan and Bill, an ex-marine, And Bernie M., a vet, Oh yes, then Jerry 'n Harold C., Fran's aid and our best bet. I seem to have forgotten one, Our friend so proud and true, Now I recall, it dawns on meg It's our Miss Merrithew.
