Student Managers Todd Ahlman, Kurt Wecker, Bob Hoppe, Coach Boshart. The Viking gridmen started in impressive fashion winning their first two games and not giving up any points. After losing to a large Randolph team and a last second loss to Ponca, the Vikes were hit hard by Os- mond. A win over Laurel and a loss to state rated number 1 Emerson, the Vikes were set up for a 41-12 homecoming win over Wynot. In the season finale, the Vikes led Bloomfield with only 40 seconds left in the game only to see the Bees break a 50-yard run and score the next play. All in all with the new schedule, it was a successful season. The Vikes finished a 4-5. Pictured below are football standouts.
