HOMECOMING The theme for the 1961 Homecoming was Evening in Paris. The setting was a Paris cafe with the silhouette of the city of Paris in the background and a large cut- out of the Eiffel Tower standing out away from the city background. Attendants were announced by Arthur Halleen and the King and Queen were crowned by the Senior attendants who presented them with gifts. After a response given by the Queen, Rodney Johnson sang Everyday is Paris When You’re Young. Crownbearers were Pamela Prather and Douglas Johnson. During the ceremonies the Pep Club formed a long aisle for the procession and recession of the Royal Party. The night was further enjoyed by all when the Wausa Vikings defeated the Osmond Tigers in the annual home- coming game by a score of 57 to 28. Randel Anderson and Marjorie Johnson, Freshman Attendants; Larry Carlson and Connie Olson, Sophomore Attendants; King Rowlan Anderson and Queen Karen Suhr; David Banks and Judith Bengston, Senior Attendants; Joyce Malmstrom and Bruce Johnson, Junior Attendants; and pictured in front are Crownbearers Pamela Prather and Douglas Johnson.
