GRADE SCHOOL HISTORY In the fall of 1959, 149 grade school pupils registered in the Wausa Public School for the 1959-60 school term. After a summer of swimming, boating, and play, another school year was at hand. All pupils were soon in their respective rooms and thus another year was on its way. Of the total enrolled, the distribution among grades was as follows: Kindergarten, 17; grade one, 13; grade two, 18; grade three, 24; grade five, 15; grade six, 15; grade seven, 12; and grade eight, 14. The Wausa grade school students had the opportunity of participating in band, grade music, programs, and athletic activities, in addition to their regular school work. SEVENTH AND EIGHTH GRADES FIRST ROW - Linda Aryes, Barbara Johnson, Gerald Claussen, Bruce Pfeil, Leo Anderson, Dennis Jensen. Sharon Heckathorn, Janet Peterson.
