HIGH SCHOOL HISTORY In the fall of 1958, 37 freshmen entered the Wausa High School. As the class was organized the following were elected to offices: President, Lyman Anderson; Vice President, VaNoy Hult; Secretary, Lois Blohm; Treasurer, Dennis Gillilan. Kathy Kirby, Diana Thorell, Rodney Johnson, and Robert Sea- gren were chosen as student council members. Kathy Kirby was selected as cheerleader. Miss Arent served as class sponsor. Twenty-one sophomores entered the Wausa High this year. The following class officers were elected: President, Rowlan Anderson; Vice President, Arthur Halleen; Secretary, Judy Bengston; Treasurer, Sharon Gillilan. Robert Greenwall, Evan Nordstrom, Judy Swanson, Betty Eifert were chosen as student council members. Judy Bengston was selected as cheerleader. Mr. Horner served as class sponsor. Thirty-four juniors entered the Wausa High this year. GRADE SCHOOL HISTORY In the fall of 1958, 126 grade school pupils registered in the Wausa Public School for the 1958-59 school term. Vacation was over, lessons were at hand and with all pupils in their respective rooms, another year of classroom duties and activities was on the way. Of the total enrolled, the distribution among grades was as follows: Kindergarten 10; grade one, 20; grade two. 19; grade three, 16; grade four, 13; grade five, 12; grade six, 11; grade seven, 14; and grade eight, 11. Along with their regular school work, the Wausa grade school students had the opportunity of participating in band, programs, grade music, and athletic activities.
