Freshmen FRESHMAN CLASS HISTORY In September of 1952, thirty-two scared and plenty green freshies mounted the steps of ole WHS to the beginning of four wonderful and long looked for years in Wausa High. At the first class meeting, the following officers were elected: President, Nancy Anderson; Vice-President, Bill Loennig; Secretary, Joyce Mattson; Treasurer, Deanna Nyman. Carole Plog, Bernice Moon, Terry Wacker and Charles Seagren served on the Student Council. The boys participating in basketball were: Harley Newman, Doyle Newquist, Terry Wacker, Charles Seagren, Richard Juracek, and Rich- ard Gustafson. Charles Seagren, Bill Eifert, and James Peters played football. All of our girls took part in Y-Teens and all but two in Phys. Ed. Harley and Deanna were nominated as Homecoming candidates and Dorene Shallberg and Nancy Anderson were our representatives in B-Team Cheerleaders. Six girls and four boys sang in our mixed chorus.
