JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY On September 2, 1952, twenty-three sophisticated Juniors entered WHS, glad to be members of the upper class. At the first class meeting Jo Ann Johnson was elected President, Rosalie Newman, Vice-Presi- dent, Lauren Juracek, Secretary, and Raynee Johnson, Treasurer. The Student Council members elected were as follows: Marcia Moline, Bev- erly Monson, Rodney Begier, and Malvern Seagren. There were three boys out for football and two for basketball. Five Juniors were represented in the Band. All girls were in Y-Teens and ten were in Girls Phys. Ed. Twelve Juniors were in Mixed Chorus. Cheerleaders were Raynee Johnson and Rosalie Newman and our Homecoming candidates were Lauren Juracek and Raynee Johnson. SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY Last September, twenty-three Sophomores tromped up the stairs of WHS to meet for registration. We soon found out that Mrs. Maison was our class sponsor. Later we elected class officers which were: President, Merle Larson; Vice-President, David Nordstrom; Secretary, Sonja Carlson; Treasurer, Vonel Anderson. Student Council members elected were: Beverly Hanson, Lois Norman, Dennis Hult and Terry Mainquist. Football season found five of the boys out for football. When basketball season rolled around, eight boys were ready for it. We had seven boys out for track. In Band, seven Sophomores were members. In second semester chorus, eight Sophomores were select- ed. Girls Phys. Ed. program attracted eight of our girls. Nellie Smith and Beverlv Hanson were chosen to be cheerleaders and seven girls joined the Pep Club. All of the girls joined Y-Teens. During tne year, the class had a hayrack ride and a good time was had by all. Four classmates dared venture in the art of declam work. Beverly Hanson and Merle Larson were selected as Sophomore candidates at Homecoming. Sophomores were, consequently, busy during the year. Wausa Hardware Furniture Ferris Produce Oscar O.
