This group of Councilmen is eighty-five strong and is represented by more girls than boys but yet they seem to make out all right at their parties. The Councilwomen are always present and can be readily seen at all council board meetings having to do with: mixed chorus, library club, band, girl scouts, glee club, G.A.A. fgirls' athletic associationi, prom committee meetings. A few are cheerleaders and all seem to support the activities that don't take place during school hours and are always ready to give a helping hand. The Councilmen can be seen busily attending to their duties which make Waupun High a good, clean and sportsman-like school. They may be seen taking port in: mixed chorus, glee club, prom committee meetings, band, and playing an the basketball and football teams. Several of the boys helped Waupun win a lot of victories in football and basketball, and always played the games as good sports would. Two of the girls worked in a one-act play that went to state and several other members of the class worked on the various committees for the plays during the year. Many of the Councilmen have been keeping up with the ideas of the other countries and also the conditions in this country through debate and forensics. An endeavor of major concern in this year has been the year-long proiect of the Junior prom. Committees have worked on one phase or another of this activity since the council was organized. The careful planning and wise direction accompanying each step of the activity resulted in a beauti- fully executed performance. The training and executive accomplishments of this year have fitted the Councilmen to take their places in the greater community ofthe adult tribe. Secretary: J. Mertens Treasurer: C.
