They plunged into the year with victory as their goal and determination on their minds. As the year progresses it was often necessary for an individual to leave his ego behind and take upon himself a new identity. Assuming a new role in life did not mean abandoning or even altering the ideals for which they would fight. Pride caused them to strive for the peak of achievement rather than settle for second best. When the going got tough they realized their limitations and accepted with gratitude the aid of those who took time to do more than talk...who took time to do! Realizing that success only through unity, they were happy to share all aspects of life-the hardships and the triumph. Giving of themselves and their time, they unselfishly displayed goodwill and understanding to all who saw them. New horizons brought new experiences and in turn supplied knowledge difficult to absorb by merely attending class. Just being together was a learning experience itself, and sometimes ended in unexpected fun. With a smile on his face and a friend at his side, each Senior brought his year to a close. Looking forward with trusting glances, the Seniors transmitted their anxiety to unsuspecting recipients. Each affected person in turn suppled then with doubt and gnawing fear that perhaps all the year's work might have been in vain. 1974 -1975 The smiles were covered by tears as the anticipated end became a startling reality............ With sunny weather and clear sailing ahead the Seniors prepared to mount the ship of life. The clock continued to tick as its hands continued to turn, serving the only links between the future the past. Tired and carefree were their spirits...but no longer were they smiling.
