Text from Pages 1 - 80 of the 1969 volume:

This past year it has been our endeavor to include between these covers some of the scholastic life of each and every student. We have hoped to recreate the life that these halls have held for us this school year of 68-69. You and 1 are each a part” of this school. The building is merely a pile of material goods that could easily be filled with anything. It is a school by virtue of the fact that it is filled with teachers and students all with the common goal of advancing knowledge. Our school will only reflect the character we give it; it will be good, bad, or indifferent just as each of us is good, bad, or indifferent. As you look through this pictorial account of the past school year, I sincerely hope that you can take pride in the your part” of the accomplishment of yourself and your school. The memorable event was held in the High School Music Room which was decorated to give an illusion of being under the sea. A beautiful mural of King Neptune in his court extended across one wall. The other two walls were covered with green crepe paper upon which various sea creatures were mounted. The back of the stage area was marked with blue streamers with fish net draped over them. Blue and green streamers were arranged in a wavy pattern overhead with fish hanging from them to give an effect of the surface of the sea. The main attraction was the fountain in the center of the room. The spray of water was illuminated by a multi-colored revolving spot-light. After the banquet there was an intermission while the band, the 007's set up their equipment. Then came the music and dancing until midnight. And for the more energetic ones, there was an all night party at the Ikes Building for further recreation. P 9 R 6 0 8! M 007'Q BACHELOR THE BOBBY BOXER Look that up in your Funk and Wagnall!
