How do you express your appreciation to a person who cheerfully takes time out from her already busy schedule to do little favors for any student who might ask? We, the Seniors, would like to show our gratitude by dedicating this 1967 Bronco to our school secretary, Donna Winscot. MRS. WINSCOT Her warm smile greets everyone who walks into the office. Wauneta’s school system is very ably headed by new superintendent Bill Matthews. His sincere interest in the students and his excellent executive ability are evident to everyone. Mr. Matthews was formerly high school principal at Morton, Texas. He holds B.A. AND M.A. degrees from Adams State College, Colorado and is doing graduate work at the University of Arizona and Texas Tech. SUPERINTENDENT’S MESSAGE OUR SUPERINTENDENT Mrs. Matthews, Mark, Stephen, Jennifer It is my sincere wish that this school year has been a most satisfying one for you. Many of the things which we set out to do have become accomplished facts. 1 feel that we have gone forward in the right direction, and I give credit for this to the splendid cooperation given the administration by the student body, faculty, the board of education, and the citizenship of Wauneta in general. I wish for the outgoing students the very best, and hope that those of us who are left behind can continue to work for a better Wauneta High, and that we may make as much progress next term as we have this, toward that goal. OUR PRINCIPAL Robert Tapp is the capable principal of the Wauneta School. Always busy, always interested—Mr. Tapp keeps our school operating smoothly and efficiently—yet he always has time to extend a friendly hand to students and visitors alike. Mr. Tapp holds a B.S. degree in Elementary Education from Chadron State College, and is doing graduate work there.
